The Lord’s table, communion, is for believers in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The service and participation in this ordinance emphasized one’s personal reflection upon Calvary and the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Also, what that means to the believer in light of his redemption from sin as well as the blessed hope of the return of Jesus Christ.

This ordinance is also looking forward to His crowning as King... an event of the ages. As Christians we are admonished to examine ourselves in preparation for the taking of this ordinance.
