Lesson #43
The Church
Serving God with what you have: in and through the Church.
The Christian's Talents
The talents and abilities that you possess and that are being developed are not ones that you originated. You are not the creator of them. God has given them to you. He should receive the credit. He expects you to develop and refine them, not in fleshly power, but in His Spiritual power. That is part of your stewardship. That is what you do with what God has given you... whether it be little or great.
Talents and abilities are not for selfish purposes, but for Godly, unselfish purposes and service. Service to God, family, church, the brethren, and man. To neglect, misuse or prostitute those talents and abilities can bring God?s judgment. To use those talents and abilities properly in the service of the Lord can bring God?s blessings. The choice is yours!
