Lesson #42
The Church
Serving God with what you have: in and through the Church.
The Christian's Temple: The Body.
What we have as believers is basically what God has given us. He has given us these things to serve Him. We have not given them to ourselves. We are only stewards and developers as well as users of these particular things: our TEMPLE, the body, that God has created and redeemed, our TALENTS, our gifts and abilities, that God has bestowed upon each one of us, our TIME that God has made available for us in this life, our TREASURES or possessions that we manage as His stewards, and, most importantly, our TESTIMONY that we have as evidence of the grace, mercy, and love showered upon each child of the living God and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are to use these as His indwelling Spirit and His Word directs in our lives to perform the purpose of His calling in the church and in each individuals Christian life.
