God has provided prayer as a means of communication with Him. It is not a preogative on the part of the Christian but a duty, an obligation, commanded by God. The rewards are numerable and those who are disciples of prayer enjoy not only God?s presence, but His blessings and care.

Read: I Thessalonians 5:17Pray without ceasing. The Christian life is
many things but it also is a life of constant prayer.
Luke 18:1That men ought always to pray. God tells us
to pray and that in prayer there is derived encouragement and spiritual growth.
Ephesians 6:18-19Praying always with all prayer in the spirit.
Pray in the spirit. God tells us this. Prayer should be done not only for one but for all saints. The Christian needs to cultivate the practice of prayer so that the power of God might be made known.
I Timothy 2:1-8That men should pray everywhere. Pray for
all men that God?s will be done. This is acceptable unto God.
Philippians 4:6-7Be anxious for nothing but in everything
pray. God tells us to personally pray about everything and with the right type of attitudes. He shall keep us from anxious hearts and minds by the power of the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 14:13-14When praying, come in Jesus name. To be
prayerless as a Christian is neglecting the command and benefits of an almighty God. To be a praying Christian is to know God?s will and to perform it.
