Lesson #12 The Son of God, Jesus Christ God's eternal plan was to redeem man from his sin, thus providing mercy, forgiveness and grace for him. His Sovereign will determined this would be so. Jesus Christ, the God man and the man God, became the incarnate instrument of God to impliment his purpose for the salvation of man. The sovereignty of God and the Son of God are indispensable to the salvation of man. Acts 4:12 . . . no other name . . . Salvation only in Him . . . Focus: Read: Romans 4:20-25 Jesus Christ died for us and rose again. Romans 5:8-11 Saved by His death and life. Hebrews 2:9 The taste of death. I Timothy 2:5-6 A ransom for all. Hebrews 5:8-9 Author of man's eternal salvation. Hebrews 9:28 He bears our salvation. Hebrews 7:25 Salvation to the utter most. Question: Do these verses describe the person who makes salvation possible? If so, how can you tell?
